Status of North West & Yorkshire

From Tuesday 25 March, until the end of service on Wednesday 23 April, work will take place on the Metrolink lines between Market Street and High Street/Church Street. During this time, no trams will be able to operate via Market Street or Shudehill. Trafford Centre services will operate to Etihad Campus and all Altrincham services will operate to Bury. Other cross-city services will divert via Exchange Square. Customers are advised to use the Free Bus 1 & 2 services during these works to make city centre connections. A replacement bus service will only run outside of the Free Bus operating times.

From Saturday 29 March until winter 2025, Tram Train services on Saturdays after around 5pm will not be able to operate between Meadowhall South, Rotherham Central and Parkgate.

A fault on a train between Gainsborough Lea Road and Saxilby earlier this evening means that this train's onward journeys have been disrupted. As a result, trains operating between Doncaster / Peterborough and Lincoln, and also between Newark Northgate and Peterborough may be cancelled or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Urgent repairs to a bridge in the Cardiff Central area have been taking place since Sunday. Whilst repairs are being carried out, some lines are closed. As a result of this, a reduced service is running to / from Cardiff Central today and trains may be revised or cancelled. Major disruption is expected until the end of the day on Sunday 27 April.
